Welcome! I am glad you stopped by.

I am a German mum to a little daughter living in Munich, a beautiful town in Southern Germany. Some facts about me:

  • I am a Christian.
  • I am a wife to a wonderful loving husband and a happy mother to a little baby girl.
  • We would love to welcome many more children into our family.
  • I quit an international career to become a SAHM.

What is this blog about?

  • I would like to connect with other Christian mums for mutual encouragement. Especially regarding our calling to serve at home with a missional vision.
  • I write about my transition from having a high-profile career to becoming a homemaker. You will be at my side while I (hopefully) figure out all the nitty-gritty-home management skills. I strive to be as efficient as possible regarding housework in order to be able to concentrate on being a relaxed and loving wife to my husband and an equally relaxed and loving mother to my daughter and any future children.
  • I will share thoughts on living in Germany, our daily life and other subjects of interest (faith, parenting, homeschooling – which is forbidden in Germany). There is definitely a personal diary component involved here.

Why in English?

Though English is not my mother tongue, it is definitley the world language. I hope to be connected to Christian mums all over the world. Therefore, please forgive my unskilled use of the English language.

Such a great reason to blog!! How are you feeling these days, with your pregnant self? 😀

  2. Valerie says:

    I hope you’re doing well. 😀

    • Hi Valerie,

unfortunately I am not doing very well – at least not with the pregnancy.

      I am not pregnant anymore.

Our little daughter Johanna Ariel was Born much too early on 9 March. She died in our arms. It was a miracle that her brother stayed in my womb for another couple of weeks and was born on 10 April (14 weeks before his due date). He now struggles for life in the NICU.

We would appreciate your prayers as we try to do our best to keep the Family together in a very difficult Situation.

      Kind regards

I hope that things are going well with you. I just found your blog and it has been interesting reading. We share many of the same views. We are a Canadian family living in Munich for the past year. I really miss homeschooling my girls (we have 4). I will pray for you as your due date approaches.

    • Thanks for commenting. I hope you enjoy living in Munich and already feel a little bit at home. Congratulations to your four girls! I imagine that it must be very difficult to send them to school in a foreign country.

I appreciate your prayers. Unfortunately, I am not pregnant anymore. I have given birth to a little daughter in March (she died shortly after the birth) and to a little son in April (who is in the NICU right now). I will try to update the blog when things have settled down a little bit.
